This Custom Knife Edition takes its unique name after the legendary Maccabees, a small group of jewish warriors in second century B.C.E. who triumphed against their oppressors the Greek-Syrians, who had defiled the temple by erecting an altar to Zeus and outlawed the freedom of faith and creed of the jewish people in occupied Israel.
By 164 BCE, the Maccabees, led by "Judah the Maccabee " and his 4 brothers, unleashed unconventional warfare in a brilliant series of special operation attacks against the Greek monarchy.
It was a successful execution of strategy and resourcefulness, a triumph of few against many, as the jewish Maccabees, "outnumbered and outgunned" defeated the Greek Tyrant's army, and the Temple was liberated and saved.
This unique, custom series is a tribute to our ancient Maccabee warriors, and their timeless legacy, when close combat was the only way to wage war and brushing one's steel against the enemy, while staring in their "BALAVAN SHEL HAENAYIM" (The white part of their eye) was indeed the only way to confirm "lights out", advance, fight, and win.
